Florida's Premier Merit-Based Scholarship

The Bright Futures Scholarship Program provides merit-based scholarships to high school graduates who demonstrate high academic achievement.

Program Benefits:

  • • 3.5 GPA weighted in 16 core academic courses
  • • SAT: 1330+ or ACT: 29+
  • • 100 community service hours
  • • Florida resident for 2+ years

2024 Update: Test scores optional through 2025, but higher GPAs may be required for test-optional applicants.
Florida Medallion Scholars (FMS)

75% Tuition Coverage

Requirements:

  • • 3.0 GPA weighted in 16 core academic courses
  • • SAT: 1210+ or ACT: 25+
  • • 75 community service hours
  • • Florida resident for 2+ years
  • • Graduate from Florida high school
Renewal Requirements:
Maintain 2.75 GPA in college

Need-Based State Aid

Florida Financial Aid Timeline

By May 15 (Senior Year)

Spring Semester - Award Notifications
